Brunello Cucinelli is an Italian ultra-luxury brand founded by its eponymous designer Mr. Brunello Cucinelli in 1978. It is praised as “King of cashmere” and “True luxury in fashion area”. Today the history of cashmere passes through the workshops in Solomeo, where since 1978 Brunello Cucinelli’s intuition has bestowed upon this yarn a new appeal and modern colors.

The harvesting of the precious yarn matches the sensitive relationship that man has developed to such a strong and powerful nature. The harvesting procedure is completely harmless for the animals, whose coat under the chin and under the belly is gently brushed with a small comb in order to shear the thickest, most compact and softest fibres. One single Hircus goat can yield approximately 150-200 grams of undercoat every year. One of the reasons for the high value of cashmere is the very limited quantity of high quality yarn.

The success of Brunello Cucinelli S.p.A. is rooted in a “Made in Italy” culture consisting of high-quality, craft-based, contemporary, exclusive products, with business since the company’s foundation being conducted in the medieval hamlet of Solomeo, lying on the outskirts of Perugia.

The Group operates in more than 60 countries worldwide through a network of 105 monobrand boutiques located in the world’s leading capitals and cities (Milan, Rome, Venice, Paris, London, Madrid, Barcelona, Berlin, Munich, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing) and in the most exclusive resorts (such as Capri, St. Tropez, Porto Cervo, Cannes, Cortina, St. Moritz, Sylt, East Hampton and Aspen), and has a significant presence in around 700 selected multi-brand outlets, including the top luxury department stores.
